South Kashmir: 3 JeM Terrorists killed in Encounter

On Friday, 2 terrorists
of the “hit squad” of Hizbul Mujahideen were killed in an
encounter with security forces in Khrew, Pulwama district.
On Saturday, 3 terrorists from c (JeM) have been killed in an encounter, with security forces in Pulwama district, South Kashmir, said police official. The encounter began in the upper regions of the forest in Nagbaeran Tral, Awantipora after police put up a search operation on the morning of Saturday.
The Kashmir Police Tweeted - “3 unidentified terrorists affiliated with proscribed terror outfit JeM killed. Search going on. Further details shall follow.”
The police said, on Friday, 2 terrorists from the “hit squad” of Hizbul Mujahideen were killed in an encounter with security forces in Khrew, Pulwama district.
The latest encounter happened on Saturday in a series of gunfights as security forces strengthened counter-insurgency operations there. So far in 2021, 94 terrorists have been killed. 8 terrorists have been killed in different operations this month, up until Saturday.
During this time period, Jammu & Kashmir is seeing more violence & attacks than ever, on political leaders. A policeman also said that this month, 4 civilians which included 3 political workers were killed in suspected terrorist attacks.
